BIPC BEGINS ASSEMBLY OF OVER 500 MOTORCYCLES FOR HIRE-PURCHASE SCHEME

The Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has commenced the assembly of 525 motorcycles as part of its youths Hire Purchase scheme.

The initiative is aimed at creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for young people while boosting commercial activities across Benue.

The Group Managing Director of BIPC, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha-CFA, disclosed that the motorcycles form part of the company’s deliberate strategy to support Benue youths through its expanding hire-purchase and empowerment scheme. He said the project is designed to reduce unemployment, encourage self-reliance, and deepen economic participation among residents.

According to him, the latest batch of motorcycles represents a significant scale-up of the programme, which has already benefited several youths in previous phases. The scheme is expected to further expand access to income-generating opportunities, especially in the transportation sector where many young people depend on commercial motorcycle operations for survival.

Dr. Asemakaha commended Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, for creating what he described as an enabling environment for BIPC to thrive and deliver impactful economic initiatives. He noted that the support of the state government has continued to strengthen the company’s drive toward job creation and industrial growth.

The motorcycle assembly project is expected to reinforce BIPC’s ongoing efforts to position itself as a key driver of economic empowerment, youth development, and internally generated revenue growth in Benue State.
