BIPC ALERTS PUBLIC ON COUNTERFEIT BREAD, INTRODUCES NEW SECURITY FEATURES

The Management of Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) wishes to bring to the attention of the general public the unfortunate circulation of counterfeit versions of our bread products in the market.

In order to safeguard our valued consumers and ensure product integrity, BIPC has introduced enhanced security features on its bread wrappers. These include:

1. A Barcode Security Feature with a 13 digit serial number which can be scanned to verify authenticity.

2. Positive and Negative Sign Marks clearly displayed on the top right edge of the wrappers to distinguish genuine BIPC bread from counterfeit imitations.

We strongly advise members of the public to be vigilant, to always look out for these features, and to scan the barcode before purchase or consumption to confirm the product’s authenticity.
